I have also tried using the HD Audio and AC97 ports on the motherboard via a front audio port on my case, and still nothing happens. I have tried installing the audio drivers from the mobo cd but it says "no HD audio device found". I have plugged in the Logitech X-530 from their old computer into this new one and nothing happens, I have also tried my philips speakers that only use the green port and it still doesn't work. It is missing 'Speaker' or anything like that, it does have the 6 normal audio ports at the back.

I'm currently building a new computer for my parents, every is fine except for the fact that the computer does not detect any speakers that are connected to it, infact, in the sound control panel all it lists are 4 unplugged HD Audio Devices.
